It was far from quiet on the Western Front when the Team from Lush Model Agency met at the 1940 Swansea Bay Museum to stage a themed photo shoot for a magazine feature. Using the museum’s realistic backdrops so characteristic of the Swansea Blitz, the Lush team set out to replicate the flavour of the era by placing chosen models, Sion, Ria and Llinos into set scenarios reminiscent of civilian life in Swansea at that time.
With the aid of hair stylists and Amanda make up artist the team got to work transforming the models ready for the shoot. Having found some appropriate props, the models were eased and squeezed into things with the aid of safety pins, clothes pegs and much holding of breath!
Amanda owner of Lush Model Agency chose to depict the themes of ‘Wartime Sweethearts’, Staff in a ‘RAF Plot Room’ and locals and military in a ‘typical War Time Pub Bar’.
LUSH would like to thank John (museum owner) for the use of the museum!
